I have a Canon S2 IS and I am attempting to use the manual focus to take a picture of a white flower with green leaves. According to the manual, you have to hold in the MF button and use the up and down arrows to focus, and then press the set button and then shoot. I am having difficulty discerning much change in focus when I use the arrows. I am 65 and fast approaching cataract surgery. Is it me? Has anyone used manual focus with an improved outcome over AF? Thanks, Nelson.
