I just want to say I had a good time shooting this place and I definitely want to come back here. Since, it was an overcast morning, the shooting conditions made it perfect for long exposure shooting. The few things I had to battle while at these falls was the spray from the falls and the slight wind blowing the foliage. I had to constantly dry my filters off but, that's the part you play for being a landscape photog, right? :) Your feedback is always welcome and I hope you enjoy them. Thanks! :)

The first two photos are pretty much the same composition but, really a slight variant. I'm having a hard time picking the best of the two but, I'd like to have your opinion.

The 2nd composition is somewhat the same but, I pulled back a bit to include the rock on the left to help lead the eye in the photo. You can see why I'm having such difficulty. :)

The others are from different angles. No matter what, I had a good time shooting here. :)

All these are really good, Julian. I have been there several times and don't have shots as good as these. You did well to get there early.

Of the first two, I think I like the first one (though both are nice). I like how the rocks in the foreground are less overlapping. Nice shots!

Of #1 and #2, I like #1 better. I think there's enough other lines drawing the eye in (3 distinct triangles of foliage pointing to the falls). The larger rock in the foreground of #2 tends to pull my eye away from the falls rather than drawing into it.

I really like #3.

All great shots!! As for the first two shots, I have to agree with the others that the first one is better. I think Sued5320 said it best really.

The last one definitely takes advantage of some nice composing. Wish the water wasnt as blown out as it is but tis a minor detail in my book.

I didn't have trouble with mosquitos at all. It was cool in the morning.

Funny you say that. I looked at the last photo a long time before I posted it. The histogram says it isn't blown out during time of capture. Easily recoverable if I did. It could be the birghtness on your monitor that is too bright. :)

Definitely could be. I always tell people that before you make a final judgement on a photo, please, see it in print!

Thanks Jim. It definitely was the perfect lighting for sure. I used the Singh Ray Color Combo and Singh Ray 2 stop soft GND. :)

I don't know if you did or not, but I get the feeling from these that you didn't use a circular polarizer because it looks like there is a lot of glare on the rocks and plants.

I like the comp of #3 the most. The first two's comps don't really work well for me. I would have preferred the FG rocks to be on the right side to balance out the compositions. They feel cramped to the left for me.

The last photo seems to be the worst off with a lot of polarized light flattening out the colours and contrast. Also, the comp for this one isn't as nice as #3. The waterfall feels pushed into the top corner too much and I think it needs more breathing space above it.
