A while back I found a link in the forum to a website that calculates sunrise and sunset anywhere in the world, even showing you a graphic of the direction of the sun. I know there are several that show times, but this worked with Google maps to show a graphic with arrows of the actual direction of the sun at times of the day. It might have been an iPhone app.

Does anyone know where that was?

Thanks,
kboard6

Sorry - never mind. I found it. If you haven't seen it, it's called The Photograper's Ephemeris. It works with Google Maps to show the direction of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, as well as elevations. Incredible app. Written with Adobe Air, so works on most platforms.

Do you need Adobe Air to run it?

Yes. When you download the program, Adobe Air downloads also

Awesome man!! Thanks. I am heading to Maine next week and had been curious about the sunrise on a few mornings that I plan to photograph a few light houses. Thanks.
