One of my best friends turned 30 this last week so I took this as an opportunity to setup a photo booth kind of thing in his living room for the party. Turned out pretty good overall. The setup was 2 strobes a white wall and the 5D on a tripod with a wireless remote. For some of these I think only one light fired so one side is a bit dark.

Me, the wife, birthday boy and his wife

Great expressions on everyone! Looks like they had fun... There is s deep shadow being cast on the wall behind everyone that is kinda of distracting.. Good job none the less.

try not to point your flash directly at your subjects... I mean.. you didn't but it is too close. They are overexposed by a half of a stop. fun shots tho

Nice series, but I agree some of the photos are slightly overexposed.

FAntastic idea.

My wife and I both turn 30 at the end of the year and were thinking of having a party. I recon this would add an interesting element to the proceedings!

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah things are a bit overexposed in some of the shots. This was kind of a last minute thing so I didn't spend a whole lot of time dialing things in. It was a setup and go kind of thing. I learned from this so next time it should turn out better. :)
