I took these last summer in the Brooks Falls area. C&C appreciated. Thanks for looking.

#2 leaves no doubt as to her sex

Great shots! Is that first shot a charge or just fishing?

Terrific shots. I hope that first one was with a very long lens though...

Thanks everyone. The first show was fishing however I was able to catch the eyes so it looks like a charge. Maybe I chould make up a grand story for the shot.....

Terrific shots! My father-in-law is currently in Crystal CO where he spends a few months every year living in a tent, etc. When he went into town for supplies and to make his phone calls, he said he had to pepper spray a bear after it tore his camp apart. I wish I would have made the trip with him this year to get some bear pics.

Awesome shots!!! Where at in Katmai, I have just finished reading up a lot on Alaska Grizzlies and Brownies (I know the same thing). I am hoping to get up there next year but I think it is more of a hope than a plan.

Frank,
What lens did you use for these shots? I looked at your gear list, and was sure I'd see a 300, 400, 500, or 600 prime - but I didn't see any of these in your gear. Did you happen to rent a lens for the trip?

I had a 300/2.8 but I sold it. I am looking to get a 500 now.
