Perhaps the announcement will be that the next 1D Canon will not require 2 hardware fixes and 3 firmware upgrades to focus properly! That indeed would be welcome news!

I assure you it was not only me. Guess it depends on production date also. I will admit I really do not know if it impacted me or not - or how much for that matter. I had my initial keeper to trash ratio and, over the two years or so since the purchase, I suppose I have improved the ratio. Never really knew if I had the issue or not, or if it was my ability, but I needed all the help I could get so I sent it in when the announcements of the fixes were publicized.

In any event, looking forward to the upcoming announcement!
