Well its official now i guess, just came back from work, where during lunch break i went and purchased the "brick", and the 7D.
The salesman who i know since a while, went ahead and preordered a few Before the official annoncement, on my reccomendation. Now theyre one of the first shops to be getting it here in switzerland, and in early october the 7d will arrive.
Im not sure when the US and UK folk will be getting the first deliveries, but if there arent half a gazillion 7d's around, and respectively a gazillion real world iso tests, ill post some. ^^
Very happy right now and about to go and put the brick through a few tests, and already started counting down the days till october :P

Yay!

I love my 24-70, nice for shooting in video mode as well, so you should love the combination

To the nay sayers who still denounce the inclusion of video mode on camera bodies btw, I was up at ZSL Whipsnade safari park yesterday and driving along when we suddenly realised the elephants were out for a walk ahead; cool! Switch to video mode and got some wonderful video footage passing them we will probably use on our Youtube channel. Not as if I could have taken pictures in a moving vehicle

Got some hilarious footage on the fisheye of some curious Lemurs bang up close as well

Love it

What fun to have an early release of the 7D. This is sure to be a great combo with the Brick.

The video feature of the 7D is beginning to sound more and more interesting.

I think I'd better hide my credit cards.

wewt for all future 7d owners!! :D
had a chance to make a few photos on my way home, and from what it looked like on the 5d's tiny screen, they look very nice, especially the nice oof bg at 24mm 2.8

im really excited about filming, imagine the effectsone can make with the 7d and a 50 1.4 lens in full hd, normally to get that kind of bg blur id have to invest in a camera resembling a bazooka or so xD

I don't know what the fuss with video mode is all about. Personally I know I would never use it,,, but seriously,,, it's all done with software, it's not like you're really paying much if anything more for it. It's like fireworks mode, or underwater mode... I don't use those either but I don't care if they are there or not because I know other people may want that stuff.
