Great shot! I imagine the rains chased away the crowds, which is never a bad thing. Did you continue to Timberline Falls/Lake of Glass?

Thanks Everyone!!!
Yes, the mosquito's are gone!!! Thank God, because I attract mosquito's like no bodies business! My original intent was to continue to Timberline falls, but I spent a lot of time getting images from several spots at the Loch and on the stream below. So, I ran out of time. I do have some panoramics from another spot that I'll post soon.

Nice shot. Forgive me for asking but where within RMNP do you access Summer Loch?

Valid question. On a map of the park you are looking for "The Loch", and access is from the Glacier Gorge Junction Trailhead. You follow the trail past Alberta Falls where it splits towards Mills Lake or towards The Loch. If you continue to Timberline Falls/Lake of Glass, be prepared that if you want to get up to Lake of Glass, you need to actually scramble up the side of the falls. It's very doable and is not technical, but it can be obviously wet and slick. In the times I have been there, approx half of the people look at it and turn around, missing the rewarding view of the Lake above.

Two of my favorite hikes in the park are Odessa Lake, the least crowded hike from Bear Lake IMO, and Ouzel Lake from Wild Basin trailhead.

It's beautiful hike to the Loch and beyond up to sky pond, and I would highly recommend it!!! It's also a beautiful location for snowshoeing in the winter.
