Where is this sculpture at? What artist is it by? We have a sculpture exactly like that here at KU. I will get some pictures of it tomorrow and share. So random!

I agree the food was very disappointing. This was my first time attending, and it was not what I was expecting. I enjoyed the food at the Festival of Nations last month at Tower Grove Park much more. But we still had a great time catching some of the stage performances. Here are a couple of decent shots I took while there today... Row of restored homes. Bold colors are all over this neighborhood....feels like the French Quarter in New Orleans. http://farm3.static.flickr.com …85215211_4ddcf1dd63_b.jpg One of only five copies of this statue in the USA. http://farm4.static.flickr.com …85218885_47398e72b2_b.jpg This skyline shot is a little softer than I would like, but it sure turned out pretty for those of you that can get past that. Funny story. I met a gentleman that really knew his history of the area. I was walking through the park and we started chatting. Long story short, he invited me up to his rooftop patio to show off his view of the city. I was blown away! He said he knew I could appreciate it being that I am obviously into photography. While up there, and learning more about the neighborhood's history, I asked him to snap this shot of me. And, obviously, I snapped one of him...as a HUGE thank you. (Nevermind that damned dust bunny. I will clone that out someday.....so frustrating.) I am also in my landscaping attire, not my Sunday best...lol. http://farm4.static.flickr.com …85213077_37e2957daa_b.jpg Bottom line: GET OUT AND SHOOT! There are plenty of people that will teach you, and possibly volunteer incredible spots, if you are not afraid to get out there. What an awesome hour and a half this was. http://throughmyeyes-choppography.blogspot.com/

I have been trying to get into photography and these are some of my STL pictures. Please c and c Thanks City Park I was scared to put my camera on a tri pod in the middle of city park. People were walking by almost knocking it over. You can see the fear in my eyes!
