September Moose in Yellowstone

It was this time last year that I found a few Moose in Yellowstone. There were three in the group, and I was able to observe and photograph them at close range for about two hours. It was a great privilege to do so.

Going thru the pics from last September's trip has me really wanting to get back to Yellowstone ASAP!

Very nice!!! I'd love to shoot one someday! Be careful though, they will charge you if they feel threatened.

Trac - if you want fall colors head to Grand Teton. The park is at about 6,900 feet at the valley and should be moving along nicely in mid September. I hope to be in Teton at the end of the month. Check out the Briger-Teton National Forest bordering the park for some nice color, as well as the numerous aspend and hardwoods that call the park home.

Yellowstone is mostly lodgepole pine.

8 Weeks in Yellowstone and I've seen one moose, and it was a she, so no impressive rack:confused:
