These are from my Rebel XT with 50mm F1.8 I feel like the colors are very flat straight out of the camera. I am shooting in RAW. The first photo is right out of the camera, the second has a little saturation adjustments, bumped up blacks a little, and took down WB, however i still think it is a little warm. What can I do to get vibrant colors?

I'll try to get bigger ones up ASAP, I underestimated the size on photobucket.

if you turn image diting on people can help you..

also.. you can just adjust saturation on the photo ( but run the risk of messing with the skin.)

Well there aren't many vibrant colors in camouflage :)

what editing app are u using? Curves are usually a great way to add 'pop' to photos.

You say you are shooting Raw, and you should know that Raw doesn't have any contrast, saturation or sharpening applied and so looking at an unprocessed Raw rendered in Lightroom with "default" values can often come across as flat.

The controls in Lightroom are set up to walk through the Basic controls, with a little back and forth, to get the "broad" feel of the photo, then fine tune it in the Tone controls and the HSL controls.

I'd say your second image could use some toning down of the Red channel in the HSL panel -- less saturation, and that the image overall could use a boost in contrast. Play around! You can't "wreck" your picture, because the original Raw file and the history is preserved.

Apart from the fact that RAW shots need to be processed as already stated, I think the shot has suffered from a little flare which will further reduce the contrast.
