i had a chance to work with Claudia tonight.

she and her mother and i didn't really know what location we were going to do the shoot, we ended up and winged it..

there was the discussions for fields, flowers, and an urban shoot, they might come later depending on how they feel about tonight’s session.

tonight i used some basic compositions:

1. color
2. sunsets and crazy skys
3. empty back ground, dark top of the garage shots..

but really i didn't have to do much.. she is like a super model..

we settled on locations.. and then the outfits were tailored to the locations.

here are some of the shots we liked.

the dark top of the garage lighting was a 32 inch umbrella and 180 degrees across was the PLM from alien bee.. it is 86 inches..

gotta love that huge mod, dude! seriously, this this is... you can basically use it to jump off a skyscraper! :)

(warning kids - this was a joke)

great quality of light and you know I am totally in love with this model!
a great, happy, colorful set full of variety.
love #6 for colors and composition and the smile! everything came together here.

Great pictures as always. What's your setup for #2? Looks like 2 strobes. Shoot through umbrellas? Curious about how you exposed the scene.

86" WOW that thing is HUGE! It looks like it produces some really great light also.

She would make a great model, she is very pretty and has the build for it.

I'm not sure about her leaning back so much in 3&4, she is leaning back in 1 also but it doesn't really bother me in that one.

Tell us your thoughts on the 86 PLM. Did you get the 7' reflector? Nice shots, what lights did you use on the sidewalk shots?

i just got it.. and that day is the first use.. it is huge.. and bulky attached, but easy when folded down to manage.. i guess i would say i like it.. but it is only the first time.

yes.. i only use my Cactus V4's for my alien bee.. it works at well @ 50 feet or so..

side walk shots was alien bee in the 28 westcott, at the lowest power just matching ambient light.. or just 1/3 stop more than ambient light..

the PLM is the 86 inch silver, and i bought the soft cover too.. so all together about 120 dollars.. i think it is worth it.

thanks everybody..
