Another shot taken during Labor Day weekend. It's puzzling how many bird photos I get with the 100-400mm L, yet I often strike out on much longer outtings with the 500mm f/4. Go figure...

I think it is quite interesting that we are seeing warblers almost at the same time... I was watching a Magnolia and a Blue-headed Vireo yesterday in the same tree. 7d, 50D, 400mm f/5.6, 300mm f/4, 70-200mm f/4 IS, 50mm f/1.8

Put up a mist net, you never know what you'll drag in jgrussell wrote in post #8626499 Very pretty image -- gorgeous bird. Thanks Judy. The best migration spot in northern Jersey is generally Garret Mountain reservation in West Patterson. I did well there this Spring. badboyglass wrote in post #8627912 Man, I wish I could spend more time looking for warblers. You have a nice picture here. Maybe the big bazooka scares them off ![]() Thanks Mao. I wasn't even looking for Warblers when I shot this and the BTG Warbler. I actually had a 24-70mm mounted but luckily had the wits to switch off before the birds were gone. photoskeeter wrote in post #8627923 I enjoy your shots. Nice jobl thanks skeeter, I do invest a lot of time outdoors to get a variety. Dave

Sure hope more will pass thru here soon. Kenn Thanks Kenn. Any warbler's a good warbler! TimeTraveler wrote in post #8628281 Splendid work on a sweet tweet! Thanks TT. I didn't have too many looks at this one until it got bored and left. ajosteve wrote in post #8628575 Beautiful shot Dave....I'm seeing some new warblers here at the canyon, must be passing through. Thanks Steve. Unfortunately we are having a very raining past couple of weeks here, not to mention a very rainy year overall. Really hinders nature photography.
