Any imput would be appreciated!

I am getting close to pulling the trigger on a refurb Canon 100-400mm. There is a great deal and w/ Bing it is as cheap as it has been in a long time.

My question is: Does anyone think a new version is coming in the near future? I have heard rumors of Canon updating the IS and/or a 100-500mm new release.

Any knowledge or opinions would be greatly appreciated. I need to make a decision fairly quickly.

Seriously... a new version could come out tomorrow or in 5 years. Buy it now for a good price... any new model likely won't be available for a while and will probably be more expensive, particularly at first!

Pont taken! I would just be sooo bummed if i dropped that kind of $$$$ and something new came out shortly afterwards.
