I'm thinking you had to be about 50' away and using something larger than a 300f/2.8 with a very shallow depth of field to have this short of a focal plane?

Ok, that makes total sense! I have a 400f/2.8 and it has to have some of the shallowest depth of field of all of Canon's lenses

This shot is so frickin' cool!! The wife was the one who actually posted that first comment, so she's pretty spot on with her lenses:D

lol she knows her stuff! thanks alot though. getting that close was wooorth it


and no. thank GOD it didnt attack me. its talons where about 3in long!
