We chased the 1225 from Hamburg Michigan north to M-59 this afternoon. A fellow forum member (Mike30D) tipped us off to the event...

Frank, we got it 3 or 4 times but we were stuck at grade crossings so I'm not real happy with the shots/angles. We didn't plan on chasing it so we left all the gear bags at home. The 70-200 was the only lens I had and Jonathan had the 75-300 on his camera.

Jverran, the first shot was taken just north of Grand River behind a waste plant of some type. The second shot was taken from the bridge over the tracks on M-59. The bridge is just east of the M-59 and Byron Rd. intersection where the Howell high school is located. It's the school where they have the hot air balloon festival every year.

Here's one more. The rest are pretty much the same angle from the same (shadow) side.

Sorry you missed it Mike. There were a lot of people shooting video and snapping pictures along the way. The farther north we got the fewer people there were. Near Grand River a couple of cars stopped to see what we were doing at the tracks and a local police officer stopped to get a few shots of his own. Up at M-59 there was one other guy with his kids. We saw him at the crossing where I took the last shot above.
