You would have easily spotted me though i was the only person there wearing a hoodie with the hood up  although i didn't get burnt and there was a couple of people next to me that seemed to have film cameras with hugeeeee thin lenses, never seen ones like that before and thier seemed to be a few people with them.

I have no idea, I can remember checking some of the shots on the 30D's screen but they were all missing when I plugged the card into the computer...???

I like these, especially #4 & 5. I've never heard of this plane though, is it an antique? Looks like something out of the 50's or 60's. :)

Great, good guess. It looks like one of the jets sent to bomb the aliens in War of the Worlds. :)

I mean the original version.

This plane has a special place in many a Brit's heart. Has to be up there with the Spitfire!

Mitch,
The Vulcan was one of our 3 "V" Bombers (Vulcan, Victor & Valiant) which served us well during the Cold War. The USAF equivilant was the B52 and its ilk. One other reason for us loving the Vulcan so much is that it was a Vulcan (XM607) that bombed the Falkland Islands in 1982. This particular aircraft (XH558) has taken many years, much sweat, much overcoming of CAA beauraucracy (and much money) to allow it to fly (albeit tamely) on the British Display circuit.

I can't wait to get back to the UK and see it flying at an airshow in person. I saw a fantastic display by a Vulcan circa 1980 at RAF Cosford, the pilot threw it around like a fighter - AWESOME, it still sticks in my memory today as the best air display I have ever seen (and I've seen many)
