Hi all,
I bought the G6 a few weeks ago (just love it!) and just ordered a 420EX flash from Adorama in New York. From what I understand, it is very desirable to mount the flash on a camera frame and use a shoe cord 2 to maintain the TTL functions of the setup.

I would appreciate hearing about your experiences with this type of setup. From what I've seen on the net, there are mixed reviews on the durability of the cord adapter.

To make things even better, I'm also getting a Quantum MF3 battery adapter to hook the flash up to my Quantum 1 Plus cell (currently used with a Vivitar 285HV flash and wein digital slave adapter)-- for extended shooting with fast recycling.

I use the G6 and 550EX. Works sweet. Remember to disable the slow sync function for inside photos or you'll have blurred, smeary pics. (tries to balance existing light and flash inside or outside, otherwise)

The OCSC is very reliable. No issues.
