The follow up to my "First Football" shots, I've just shot another sport for the first time back-to-back. C+C welcome on these shots.

Frustrated McMaster Marauders goalkeeper Matthew Grant following the team's 1-0 loss to the York Lions.

My four best from the two games. I really preferred the perspective of the "human netcam" more than anything else. My 24-70 often got more work than the 70-200! By the second game I had one of my co-workers, who has more experience with soccer, shoot with the 70-200 while I stayed in the net with my wide angle.

EDIT: Just realized I accidentally posted this in sports talk instead of the sports section ><. My apologies.

Thanks for the feedback guys. As I said, I love working at the goal, but I'm now trying to limit my time there so I don't get too comfortable :)

Only a matter of time before I get bonked by a soccer ball.

as a first time of shooting soccer tomorrow, i am having this fear myself. do you recommend a good distance from the sideline given my 1.6 crop & 135 zoom? i figure the goal is the best place to be since thats where the action is, but i dont wish to get throttled by a high speed ball either!

AWESOME SHOTS! i am envious!

was #3 through the net? NICE!

With the 135, you want to be as close to the line as possible. Shoot with both eyes open and anticipate ball movement.
