Well here's my contribution for the day. Not as impressive as what I have been looking at posted here lately, but I'll share anyway. C&C welcome

I like 3 4 and 7.

what i also like is your ability to compose a different shot every time..
don't see much repetition from you..

and good post work on these..

repetition you say... here:

you are able to take nice photos but this gal has the same expression on every shot. the same. I mean you can-photoshop-her head-in-from-any-shot-onto-any-shot same. bad thing? not really. Boring to look at 8 identical heads in different backgrounds - sure thing.
I think you got carried away with your technical skills here and forgot that this shoot was all about the model. You made no attempt (from what I can see) to ask her to show any emotion. I understand that I am not being completely fair here as well, but I think photographers of your technical level have to start thinking about the model already.

You may say whatever you want about my photos, I will never feel bad about constructive criticisim. Yes I agree that her expression in these photos I posted are quite the same in all, we did have a lot of other expression and it was a fun shoot...BUT I chose these to post because I really didn't have a lot of options for background changes at this shoot and I have learned from watching others post on here that sometimes you can get a lot of different scenes from very little of the obvious. I don't post to show off, I post to share ideas and get feedback and inspiration from others.

LOL Hey any chance anyone gives me to be a sarcastic smart elec and I am all over it!:p Honestly the expressions are annoying now that I look back at them through his comments:lol: I was going to get out the liquify tool and really "fix" them up and repost, but that wouldn't be very nice towards the girl in the pictures, even though she is a really good sport and would probably think it was funny. I will keep him in mind at my shoot tomorrow and be sure and get some really "special" shots!:lol::lol:

And her parents love that smile

So... did you post these for the parents or for the nerds like me to look at? ;) Sorry - not her parent - dont like fake smiles ;)

Sorry you're bored, I will try to post more expressions for you next time.

Yeah it's just one of those days for me... Next time you post think about poor me and post something funny lol :)

I have no technical skills and it is always all about the model.

Hmmm... if I say "I agree - I will admit that you have no technical skills. If I say I disagree - it would be a lie... so lets pu it this way - I agree but this set is an exception to the rule!

You're right, in fact I probably pouted most of the session and made her afraid to smile differently, and when I screamed at her she didn't even cry!

Oh too bad. PM me and I will give some tips on how to make teenagers cry ;)

I don't post to show off, I post to share ideas and get feedback and inspiration from others.

There's also nothing wrong with showing off. The best compliments you can ever recieve will be from those who are also in the game. Why else are you doing this? To share your vision with the world, the viewers, the audience... Of all things - photography IS about showing off.
Please - show off! I demand! ;)

I really like 2, 4, and 5 these are nice shots. On my screen they look a little overexposed but that just might be my screen. I understand sometimes kids seem to have only one smile or look they feel looks good and you can't seem to get them to change it no matter what but if the parents like it they are the ones paying.

Six of the eight are flat lit and the other two are about a 2 to 1 lighting ratio.

Get rid of that on camera flash as it tends to make normal faces wide, and wide faces even wider, and wide things are usually thought of as heavy things, and heavy things are usually thought of as fat things. Does any woman want to look wide, (i.e. heavy or fat?) I've never met one. :)

Seriously and honestly - this post does not impress me at all; after I have seen many of your earlier posts.

I know you can do much better :)

You've got to get that flash unit OFF your camera.

I thought maybe this post would slip off into never never land but someone found it dang it! LOL

I do not always shoot with the flash ON the camera BUT when I have to shoot at 1:00 in the afternoon and the sun is blazing and there is no shade I choose to use the flash(not always ON the camera) for fill or on back lit subjects rather than sun in the face or dappled lights on faces.

If you have some suggestions for these conditions that would work better, please share them, I will be more than happy to listen.:)
