I dunno, the lighting is good. My crop would remove the wasted space below his front tire in order to bring the rider closer and although you used a slow shutter speed to good effect to show movement, I just don't get the feeling that this photo is showing me anything special other than someone riding in the woods. He's not turning hard, jumping, climbing, and you really can't see his face to tell if he's concentrating hard on the trail, etc.

This is a collegiate race? Then I'll give you a B in technique, C in composition. :D

OP, I would have shot this in landscape. Been more front on to capture the eyes and found an interesting technical part of the track to shoot.
As Biff mention, Lighting and shutter speed is good. Just a boring pic for such an exciting sport.
