Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is "WOOD".

As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for!

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES

An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO DAY INDEX

That's it! Have fun!

Thanks, Joayne!

Maybe I'll have an easier time this week.
For some reason, I just couldn't get started with those reflections.:o

Hey, I had to shoot indoors and work out a way, with OCF and glass and black material.... in the end I barely got a shadow :)

Well, now that POTN is back on-line I'll share a little pic for the topic this week..

This tree is outside my office window and nearly always full of birds, so it was nearly impossible to get a picture of the wood without a bird in it! :)

joayne,
Nice office view :)

With this photo I show three different ways wood is used.
First it helps clean our air, give us color and provide shade/shelter.
Second it can be used as a fence, to keep us in safe zone.
Third it helps us enjoy nature comfortably, by providing a rest area.

Thank you Mr Monkey Pants :)

How are you doing? Are you able to hobble around a bit? I know how uncomfortable it can be... :(

Ahh, I am fully walking again. I saw the orthopedic surgeon yesterday, he took two X-rays and told me that the "fracture" on the tibia is actually a piece of the bone that was chipped off during impact. The pain that I constantly feel is actually a contusion (bruise) on the femur. There is no reason I can't walk on it. ;) HOORAY!!!!!!
