Did a search and didn't see it posted already, so thought I'd share that Lightroom 2.5 has been released -

http://www.adobe.com …ads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4572 (external link)

The Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 2.5 update includes these enhancements:

• Additional camera support for several new camera models including the Nikon D3000 and Olympus E-P1
• Includes several corrections for issues introduced by previous Lightroom 2 releases

And Camera Raw 5.5 update for CS4 -

One notable item under "Lightroom 2 Bugs - Fixed" is this:

Lightroom 2.4 on Windows continued to display the import dialog when a memory card was detected regardless of the preference setting “Show import dialog when a memory card is detected.”

That's worth the download, for me at least.

Edit: Finished the download, installed, and confirmed. It actually remembers the setting now. And there was much rejoicing.

OMG, what a huge file. 139 MB. Folks still on dial-up will have to be very patient.

Damn! I was hoping they'd leave it a month or so until 7D support was included. Looks like I'll have to wait a few months more before getting one.

Or go to a coffee shop. :D I don't recall Lightroom ever being a small file.

another reason why RAW should be standardized into the .dng format.

Finally...this was such a simple problem that was a huge annoyance. Anytime I inserted a card, USB key, external hard drive, etc., the import dialog would come up. And every single time I would go in and change the option. And every single time I would go back and check, it would have reverted....

It's only 86.5MB for the Mac and only a couple of minutes download.

Lightroom 2.5 supports 7D RAW files. It's a preliminary support, the color calibration and white balance is wrong and Camera Profiles aren't defined yet. Tweaking with the camera primaries, and using a custom WB, I was able to get pretty consistent results compared to 5D2 and 50D RAW files using Adobe Standard profile. I used the IR RAW files from all the 3 cameras to check it.
