The fall migration has started for the Scissor-tailed Flycatchers. They are beginning to collect in small groups to prepare for their migration. These two images were taken over Labor Day weekend. Thanks for looking. :)

Good looking bird and nice shots of it! Must be a lot of fences down in Texas. Do these birds head for Mexico?

I've seen those ONCE here in middle Tn.and wondered what the heck they were. Got very poor shots due to fading twilight light but still did get them. Where do they migrate to/from???

Thanks Karen, They go down to Mexico and Central America for winter and come back up to Texas and a few surrounding states for the summer months.
