I'm waiting for the 1D IV. I never thought I'd shell out $5000-6000 for a camera body, but I just may if it gets announced next Feb.. (or as some people are speculating, in 10 days).
Why bother? Just buy a 1D3 now and be done with it

Cuz I want the 5D II's high-ISO performance along with all the refinements brought about by the 7D. If it's $6k, I'd possibly bite. Any more, and I may just got 1D III. Me too. 35L on FF should be awesome. Col | Flickr

The main reason I'd be interested in the 1D4 is that there would be nothing terribly compelling again until the 5D III, and that would be awhile. Now, being able to afford such a camera (or even the 1D III) is another story altogether.. Col | Flickr
