Um.. shouldn't the original door to the battery compartment be stored within the grip itself at the base of the shaft that goes up where the battery used to.?

Check it out, it may be there and you have forgotten it.

:lol: I forgot that my 400D's battery door was there until I actually took the grip off. I was crapping my pants.

Is it just me or does the price of the 1D4 make the 7D look like a bargain...? Around $6500 for the 1D4 and low $2000's for the 7D, compared to $11000 or so for the 1Ds3 and $4000 for the 5D2. Although I guess the same can be said for the 5D2 comparing it to the 1Ds3.
