Hi all.

For those of you who own a legit copy of lightroom 2, how much did you pay for it? I am seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on a 27" iMac and that means starting to buy legit software. *shudder*

Can someone enlighten me on where the cheapest place to buy legit mac software is?

I see the full version of LR 2 goes for about $600 aud! Gasp!

Any tricks from the mac owners among us?

We did a group buy on here about a year ago for LR2 through Feng (wakko). I paid $121 for my fully legitimate student copy.

Or, yeah, as Mic said, if you really want to, you can still get a heap of stuff illegally.

Hi Guys, fairly new here .. but ..

Any idea how strict adobe/scholastic are with regards to student editions? From what they write on the stickers on the boxes, it seems like they do all sorts of checks just for you to be able to register it...

2ndly, anyone have any idea what these (external link) are like? I have done basically zero strobe work, have a ex580 and some cheap hongkong wireless triggers to play with, and am wondering if that kit will offer a range of alternate uses/setups etc. i guess im thinking versatile and durable - i'd prefer not to drop $250 on something that will be next to useless as i shoot more flash..

Cheers
Ash

So I'll get rid of one of my 550EX's... these will work as master or slaves with 420EX, 430EX, 550EX or 580EX but wont work as a master with the 430EX II or 580EX II's

I've got 2 .. one is as new, with box and instructions etc and still has the $999.00 price tag on it..

$350 inc post for this one..

The other one is without box and has a few minor marks on it and the external power plug socket is missing the rubber cap... still works fine..

$300

Whichever one sells I'll keep the other as a backup..

Is this dumb post week?

"If they were the same price, which would you choose, the 70-200 L or 100-400L"

"Is "bokeh" even really a word?"

"Must the Lens be Canon"

"Poll: Which prime for the 1D Mark III (APS-H)"

Deadset. It seems the lens forum is full of morons.

Sounds like the guy I bought my 5D MKII off, zero communication from him after sale and then bingo just as I was starting to be concerned it arrived.

(From a Flickr page)

Alien Bees - Aust

It is with great pleasure that we are pleased to announce that 1stline Digital Pty Ltd has been appointed The Authorised Partner for Paul C Buff in Australia & New Zealand.

The online store www.paulcbuff.com.au (external link) is available and accepting orders. The intention is to keep stock of the most popular products in Australia and we currently have stock of Cybersync Triggers and Receivers. Transit times for the US are generally 7-10 days for items out of stock.

Warranty.
The same 24 month manufactures warranty and 60 day money back guarantee will be available to Australian & New Zealand Customers.

Pricing.
The pricing of products will be set at the US price Plus 8% to allow for factors such as exchange rate fluctuations, entry and transaction fess. It is our intention to try and keep pricing as close as possible to the US price, this will obviously depend on the exchange rates.

Shipping.
The store will have fixed rate shipping and as an introductory offer orders over $150 will attract free shipping.

We have been working hard of the last few months with Paul and his staff to get to this point and we are excited about being able to bring The Paul C Buff range to Australian Photographers.
