Excellent customer service.

Did you ask them for some free AC5 shields too?

I tried :p but they gave a diplomatic response and I didn't push the matter further.

What type of range are you getting from yours? Have you had any issues?

haven't done any major benchmarks on it but it's reliable enough 80% of the time I need to use it, which is good enough for what I use it for. Last time I used it at about 10 metres and it seemed ok.

Also, another good report on Blackrapid customer support. I lost one of my Couple-R connectors, and they are sending out a replacement free of charge :)

I wanted an upsize to a double strap...

My three receivers all had dead batteries because they'd all been on and I hadn't used them in a while so they just sat in my bag. Disappointing :(

 I will when I get new batteries :p They're CR2 3V's, I just looked on the Dick Smith website and Duracell ones are $10 each there. Anyone know where to source a Duracell/Energizer cheaper than that?

Hmmm, checking batteries is an important part of workflow :-)

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Would Stu be likely to do any discounts on three FlexTT5s?

They can be had as rechargables, too.

I know :( If they weren't CR2 batteries then I'd be fine to have kept going, but I'd never even seen or used one of them before I got the triggers. I didn't expect them to have been on or dead, but they had lasted me a long time. They were the no-name brand ones that came with the triggers from Yongnuo. Put them in the day I got them but I'll have to change them now.

Where from? I know the group orders are done through Servaas but they don't have any CR2 rechargeables. It would be a good bet because they're just going to keep getting used. I should/will eventually buy some rechargeable AA's for my flashes too...

Not really - Clarry and I got free shipping and we bought six.

I dunno, but I've seen them around. Google is your friend.

And you should definitely be running rechargables in your flashes.

Is there any advantage in getting a TT5 for your camera instead of a TT1?

Two that I can see:

1) You've got some redundancy having all the same devices, and

2) apparently the broadcast range or coverage or something is better than the mini.

Having said that, I'll probably get a mini when I get the ZoneController.
