I've made him several offers for his 30D but he turns me away all the time :D !!!

Austen.

He tells me the 30D speaks to him. She's looking for "The One"

Hi peoples,

I had a shoot today with a young lady who shot with Ed last week, she asked me if a guy called Dan was helping me, I said why, she said she heard he doesn't like getting his jocks wet.....:D:D:D:D Funny boy Ed no wonder your hiding in NZ!

Anyway tax of a before and after kind from yesterdays dawn shoot, just for you..., but please let me know you thoughts on the pp!:)

Right, so there's certainly no 'harm' in getting a TT5 for the camera. Having been observing the product pics, the TT5 seems to be considerably larger than the TT1. So I thought perhaps the TT1 would be more desirable due to its smaller size alone. I should be able to get some of these as soon as I sell off some other gear. Looking forward to the so-called "PW reliability"! :)

If you are willing to install beta firmware then the TT5 will do more than the TT1. Currently the beta FW supports a function that makes the pre flash brighter which apparently improves metering when firing through modifiers or in bright sun but this is only available on the TT5.

You really need to see the 5 alongside the 1 to appreciate how much smaller the 1 is.

Major job just got cancelled as the police here won't let anyone under 20 have a working license.

Bummed.

Nicely Done though!

G'day dudes, haven't stopped by here in a while but I've got a question

I currently own a 540EZ and a YN-460 and my off-camera flash work has consisted of some very dodgy optical triggering (which has seen me get results like this with bare flash: http://farm4.static.flickr.com …11276937_3959c72455_o.jpg (external link))

That said, I'm looking to get into it further, and requre your assistance.

I won $300 at my school as part of an academic award and I'm looking at buying some proper lighting stuff with it.

To get off-camera, I'm looking at getting an RF-602 + 3 reciever kit, which i've heard good things of. The ability to fire a camera remoetly (either by hand with the trigger, or from the shoe a master camera triggering a slave) is a very good feature that I can see the use in. That eats about $80 of my budget, and im left with about $220 (with perhaps a bit of leeway) to get some gear.

I look to be able to use the stuff for general use, with the emphasis portraits and perhaps some product photography.

If in my position and had $220 to spend on some gear to start with (keeping in mind I'm going to need all necesary brackets etc) what would you get?

Cheers,
Shaun

EDIT: i was hoping to shop at ImageMelbourne

A few bodies and lenses..
