Surely by next year you'll have lots more fun gear to use so you won't have to resort to tissues? :p

Nice shot down the street! Love the choice of focus and exposure.

Maybe.. or I might see if I can borrow Angus' gear again..

And thanks :)

Ummm.......Errrr.............

Seems no-one has asked the obvious questions...............

Who took the photograph ? Where's the dunny door ? And what the heck was the other guy doing in a mens loo with no doors with a camera ??

Austen.

Oh. my. god. Very important and disturbing questions

Sry, my bad  i wasn't trolling i promise, just v.tired and too lazy to explain.

...to clarify, it is sharp, just not razor/bleeding sharp like some of the Canon' primes.

One thing I've been doing (my mate thought of the idea) is tape tissues over the head of the flash. It doesn't really spread the light but it softens it up just a bit. 4-ply total is about as thick as we'll go to soften it up without losing TOO much power.

All this really achieves is the increased risk of fire. The light is still coming from the same sized source, and that's what counts. You just make it work harder.

Yup, tough ask for a zoom, that :-)

Just to break the conversation here

How many of us are buying gear as a Christmas present to ourselves or from someone else? :p I'm getting my 24-70 soon which is more as a result of birthday/graduation but still a present. Lighting gear will come soon after so that could be a second present!

I was planning on some Christmas presents for myself (PW Flexs and Einstein 640) but I will have to put that on hold as I've just been informed that I'm out of a job as the place I was working is downsizing.

Suspicious indeed.

Looks like it was a handicapped toilet... is that saying something about Colin?

I've been assuming the same since I saw the initial pic, yeah.
