I've got a Nokia E71 and iPod touch 16GB (2nd gen). I was going to get a 16GB iPhone 3Gs but decided against it and I thought I'd wait for the Nokia N900 to come out because for the price, it'll be a great phone. It'll be around AU$700 from Adorama.

I usuallt have 15 albums on there with heaps of space left for apps. Yeah, that's kind of my thinking. I've got 10.5GB of music and 1GB of apps on my touch right now. Realistically, that 10.5GB of music could be cut down to probably 2-3GB (my current playlist is 150 songs at just under 1GB total). I just need to decide if I really want the iPhone as I'd half decided that I wasn't going to get one. I think I will go for it... depending on the price. A new 8GB iPhone 3G is still pretty pricey and considering this one is brand new in the box but locked to Telstra, it might still be a tad expensive if the unlocking costs money.

But a family friend upgraded a few of their plans or something and they've got an 8GB iPhone 3G, unopened and unwanted. They're going to look around for a price and then they'll let me know. I know this sounds just like going to an older camera and wondering "is it worth it?" but is it really worth spending the money (after most likely selling both the E71 and touch) to get a brand new 8GB iPhone 3G cheap? I think the main thing that's holding me back is the 8GB. I know the "older" phone is still fine because it's the same technology as my touch and obviously having never used a 3Gs, I don't know what I'm missing out on ![]() I don't really like the iphone OS honestly... there's so little integration between apps and contacts and everything... Also i wanna get a bigger ipod because 16gb isn't enough for me... haha What do you mean by so little integration? Where would you change things? I haven't used an Android phone but I've loved the OS and UI of my E71 and if I'm at home and want to quickly use the net, I've always been more inclined to use the E71 than the touch (using Wi-Fi on either of course). 16GB has been fine for me too. Before the touch, I had the 80GB classic and I just threw everything on there because I could. With the touch, I cut back on some music but I could have cut back so much more so that's why 8GB isn't really scaring me. My 80GB classic is still sitting in a drawer (albeit with dead pixels) so if I did get annoyed with the size or even the battery life when listening to music as well, that's an easy option that costs no money

But that's the whole point of most apps out there. They don't need to integrate. On my touch, pretty much all the apps I've downloaded are just games and news or other internet-based apps.
