I've never used the e71, but what i mean with iphone is that the apps are well apps... like standalone... they don't integrate with eachother well or with the OS...

But that's a good thing! You buy apps and you expect minimal integration with other apps and OS components, so should anything go wrong, you don't end up messing everything up.

Especially that MacBook you wanted to get rid of so badly! :p

I devolved it to my wife in the end, as the VAIO finally gave out, so it was good I still had another laptop, albeit a rather expensive one...

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

...which is the exact reason I went with the 7D until Canon can get their act together and bring out a D700 equiv ;) I always use the outer AF points often in dimly lit conditions and I need AF accuracy (focus-recompose doesnt cut it when you are wide open). Subject isolation? down to lens choice really and if you can make the FOV work for you -this was with the 135 at f2.2... balcony railing and city lights in the background are bokeh'd to oblivion:

Rai, c'mon man, stop posting 135L photos, im dying here... :p

Does anyone know if you are meant to get a status bar when formatting an external drive under Windows 7?

What are you formatting it with? Is it a USB drive? Where is (or where are you expecting) the status bar?

External USB drive. I am doing a full reformat of a 1TB Seagate external drive using the Computer Management utility. The disk is shown "Formatting" in the status column of Computer Management.
