I have an 18-55 kit lens, however I took the rear mount off (Don't ask) and I don't think I put it back on correctly.

The 10D doesn't take EF-S lenses anyway.

Hello long time no speak spam.

Last Saturday was beautiful weather outside at this wedding. Used a lot of reflector lighting.

Not bad for the time of day. Whites are a wee blown in the first one, but it still works.

And if you'd moved a little to your left, the tree in the background would be nicely off to the side.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Really? Never knew that. I thought the EF-S's were made for the crops.

They are, but the 10D pre-dates them and so has a standard EF mount.

Thought that might have been the case. A bit unlucky for 10D users in a way.

I doubt there's too many 10D bodies still kicking around :-)

The 18-55 can mount and be used properly on the 10D without any problems, you just need to do some modding :p

IOW it CAN'T be used on the 10D until you hack it - I think that's a better way to put it...

I agree! I was reading just before about how Canon is rumoured to have patented a 14-24/2.8 design and I've decided I'm going to be all over that when it comes out. Hopefully we follow the trend of being a few hundred cheaper than Nikon with similar lenses.

Not sure how they can patent that, given that's one of Nikon's icon lenses.

Would be nice of they could do it, though, and make it as good as the Nikon. The 16-35 would be out the door, I reckon.
