Not sure how they can patent that, given that's one of Nikon's icon lenses.

Would be nice of they could do it, though, and make it as good as the Nikon. The 16-35 would be out the door, I reckon.

Sorry I worded that wrong. They patented their lens design or 'optical system' as it calls it. Here's the Google Patent link: http://www.google.com/patents/about?id=lbTIAAAAEBAJ (external link)

It'd be brilliant if they could. Now that I'm getting my 24-70 and lighting gear soon, I have to decide on my next lens after it. 400/5.6L, something wide or something fast. Not really sure what yet...

Just wondering if someone has had a similar problem or able to help me out.....I'm having issues with my data usage on my iphone. I've had my phone for about 6 months now and I've always averaged around 500-600mb each month except for last billing month where I hit 1.3 gig and this billing month I'm 50mb shy of a gig and I'm only halfway through my billing month.

I've queried this with my provider as they've made a mistake on my bill before and I thought it was a mistake again, apparently not.

I haven't changed my usage in any way and don't have push email (I think that's what it's called) or anything like that.

I was slogged with a $369 excess usage fee last month and on a friends recommendation I've only just turned off 3G to see if that would make a difference but does anyone have ideas as to how this could be happening????

I have my email set to push and probably get 20 emails a day and am lucky to use my 300mb a month. I also use youtube and surf the net and ebay a fair bit so i think something is definately wrong.

Have you added any new apps recently that could be consistently using data? That's all I can think of. Maybe do a full restore and then reinstall the apps you use a lot?

I do none of that :( I watch maybe 2 youtube clips a month, I check facebook a couple of times a day and I podcast hamish and andy most nights and those files average 20mb each. I don't use safari as I have unlimited net at work and no new apps or updates as I've been extra careful the last couple of weeks because I dont want to be stung again!

I mainly use my phone for music and games (not on-line games, just like backgammon and that kind of thing) as I spend 4 hrs of my day travelling and need something to amuse myself!

It's soooo annoying! I've already tried fighting my previous bill but apparently they don't make mistakes with data usage and wont budge. *grumble* *grumble* *grumble*

Have you jailbroken the phone, this could be a worm in the phone as per the recent press.
