Lots of tax going on in here... I shot some random crap today but none of it useful. The next time I shoot, it'll be with my 24-70 ;)

Have you jailbroken the phone, this could be a worm in the phone as per the recent press.

Nope, not jailbroken. It's not the 3GS one either if that matters.

justAL wrote in post #9155935 (external link)
It shouldn't eat anywhere near that much but have you tried turning off location services and deleting your email accounts on the phone for a month?

That's rough. I've got a gig allowance and surf for 2 hours each day but never hit my limit.

Haven't deleted e-mail but I turned off the push notification so it should just lay dorment shouldn't it? And I've always had location services turned off.

See that's what I don't understand, I barely use the net on my phone, it's more of a gaming and music device for me. It's doing my head in!

So it's not just me then, it does seem unreasonable?

srowlandson wrote in post #9155949 (external link)
yup... Melbourne.. Western Suburbs... :)

I had a pentax istDS,flogged it off and got a nice little 20D + Grip

I remember having bill dramas with them 5 years ago. Never considered them since.

Just ended up not paying and changing provider. They sent letters a few times, but then gave up.

When I owned a business and sold itand had to give the business numbers to the new owner I had so many dramas with optus I could have written a novel about it all.

I feel like some sort of outcast troglodyte, not "getting" the mood , but I stand by the fact the horizon ain't straight. :p

Don't worry Andrew.

Personally, I think it's under-exposed. I can see what you were aiming for, but the over-all feel is that of under-exposure rather than moodiness.

srowlandson wrote in post #9156255 (external link)
After some advice, light tent, off camera flash and a 1:18 model (rather than the initial 1:64)

Could almost pass for a real one :)

I've heard of Optus mobiles having excessive data usage because of Push notifications. Is it your Virgin email account on the phone ? or another one ? Just thinking that maybe the service provider is sending more push data than you'd think (possibly a "notification" to say there's no new mail, or something like that).

I don't currently have a data plan on my iPhone (via Vodafone), so pay 2c/Kb for any data used, thus I have location services and push notifications turned off, and only ever consciously use data when on Wifi, but I still manage to use a Mb or so per month somehow.

How's this for an utterly weird FS ad:

Also selling a set of JRX radiopoppers. I have 1 transmitter and two receivers. I bought these because I thought I had "lost" my equipment. If you have alienbees or white lightning you can control your lights wirelessly from the transmitter! Purchased from a fellow member. I paid 210 shipped. I am willing to take the loss and sell them for 200 shipped.

What a guy!

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

It's my yahoo e-mail on the phone and I get maybe 1 or 2 e-mails a month.

I quiet literally haven't touched my phone other than to look at the time since about 6pm and somehow after checking my usage statistics I've used up another 2mb, so now I'm resurrecting my old sony ericsson and will use that for 24hrs to see if there's any change in the data usage (which there shouldn't be at all) and I might have something to go up against virgin with.

I preferred the original, and by a fair margin.

But I still think it's got a case of the tilts :-)

Ok, I'll get on that tilt. :p

Numero uno wins out. I like the tone and overall mood.
The emotion of the scene speaks more than any detail on this classic cityscape.

Cheers Al.
