Thanks Ed, No thanks Angus.

How about 8 of them for $800, that way you can get that cash off your hands!

Thanks Angus but what would I do with eight Canon 24-70L lenses?

So um, anyone?

Do anyone have experience with things like the Epson P-3000 (external link) as a photo storage device. This one has 40GB of storage, and the more expensive one has 80GB. I'd prefer to double up when storing the photos, as netbooks can be stolen...

Edit: But yeah, 4 days until I leave for the holiday. Still so much to do. :|

No experience with the Epsom - you might get some info over at the Accessories & Storage forum.

FWIW I really like having the Canon M80 storage device.

Thanks guys :)

Oh, I'd forgotten about the Canon M80. Interesting.. It's $1100 compared to $900 for the Epson. They look pretty much the same anyway.. :/

Plus you can upgrade the harddrive inside the Epson one.

There is also the Hyperdrive that I have seen good reports on, but haven't used myself. Looks to be cheaper than those mentioned and you can by bare to put your own HD in if you have a spare one lying around.

Another happy M80 user here too. Not sure I would have bought one but it was a Canon freebie with the 5D. Now I have it I find it way better than backing up to a laptop.

MMmm, at this point in the game I want something that is simple and just works. I've got little time before I'm gone lol.

If only the M80 was 100 bucks cheaper. Even with getting the GST back, it'll be $1000. edit: but given that I've got 3-4GB free space on my macbook.. I'd love something like this.

$1000 for 80GB of storage or just buy more CF cards.
Buying CF cards will be easier and more flexible.
