Yeah well I'm hoping its only $520, i can live with that a bit easier, not that i have paid yet but still!

Hopefully now that i have done this i can get another year and a bit at least out of it without having to pay more into it.

Hope it's the cheaper option, Nic.

You'll definitely get a lot more out of it! I'll probably resist the 1D3 temptation next year because I know just how great the 1D2 is.

Yeah I'm more interested in the glass, but this repair has really set me back.

I was hoping for a nice 16-35L before i left for the Kalahari in June, still a possibility just it will require a lot more work on my behalf.

What's the weather like right now? Temps? Might visit Shanghai in November next year - hopefully the place stays warm (in the twenties) for most of Nov.

It has been in the 8-12 range lately but will dip to -3 to 5 in the next few days. Brrrr...
For the November month, I would say you are looking at 12-20 tops. Maybe Low 20s on a warm day.

What would be the occasion? Family?

 I see. It's a price check thread on a 5D2 and he said "guess I'll be selling around $2500 if I'm lucky".

Sounds a little suspect. Why "if I'm lucky"? Just a high number of actuations?

Nah, just because the person who replied giving him an idea of the price explained about the price drops and how, now, $2400 is a bargain for the buyer but anything north of $2700 is good news for the seller.

Congrats! Are you back in your place yet or still in the rental? Fun Christmas coming up for you guys. Was she born on the 12th? If so, she shares the day with me

Nah, our place has been levelled and the new slab is down. They've delivered the framework too but I doubt that will get put up until the new year.

Oh, forgot to mention she was born last Sunday (6th). Just been too busy to post about it until now.

Congrats Dan... I'm a little worried about the projectile pooping though... that sounds like something I'd expect from Colon's offspring.

All good  Congrats again.

Well now you do,

I'll actually be racing next year's national races in Indo. I'm planning to ride more than photograph during racing season.

Going by eBay, $2800 for an absolutely mint one with very low shutter count (heck, one went for $2400 two weeks ago, with only 1000 actuations). For reference, brand new at DPP is $3125.

Cheap. Grey import? Mine's Aus stock. Still under warranty. ;)
