If you want to do it cheaply, Cactus V4's have been working very well for me. Haven't used them outside though, so I'm not sure how far they will work or the reliability.

I've got a set of V4's and they are a good, reliable trigger and receiver set.

I would suggest you buy new batteries when you get the kit though as they can become unreliable at best once the power dips.

Yong Nou have a new set out now that have features that i'm interested in such as the ability to use them as remote triggers. I'd like this feature to be able to do rig shots for bikes.

I looked, and thought... for my skill level and budget (which i reckon is similar to yours) i would go these for now.

CTR301P x 3 Triggers and a Transmitter.

I also ordered 3 x YN460 Flashes.

All up, $200 for triggers, transmitter, flashes and a cable release.

your welcome to borrow them to see if it suits you need old buddy.

I'm going to frankston Friday if you wanted to catchup and do lunch or something :) I can bring em along for you to have a BoPeep.

flash on left is an ex580, right 3 are YN460's on triggers.

I also got 12 ENELOOPS for them and a Decent Charger from http://www.servaas.com.au (external link)

CTR-301P's are great for the price. I've had mine for a while now. Going to order some light stands and brollyboxes today, or at least one of each.

Are the CTR-301Ps on Th' ShonkBay anygood?? $30 is a lot better than $200!

I used one of the blokes ET2 on th weekend and it was nice and simple, like me :o Thus why I thought of them.

There was a bloke at the shoot who worked in some shop, Tony I think it was, but I didnt catch his shop name :o:o he had some triggers, same as Al used..

Al.. help me... fill in the blanks mate!

They are. Understand that they are all manual though, no matter what flash you use. I bought them from Yongnuo's own eBay shop. Here's a search of CTR-301P on there: http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au …kw=ctr-301p&submit=Search (external link)
