if your interested, Im sellign my Sigma 135-400... 24-70 is very sweet

i've pretty much only used the 24-70 since i got my 20D. but its only a matter of time before i have to give it back to Roly and get one myself.

he has a 70-200 F4, i like it also... great lens... if i buy a 24-70, i'll return his and borrow his 70-200 :)

Ha, good question....

here's the kit that I got off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au …ories?hash=item414aecde0f (external link)

I'd like to lose as little as possible in the sale (but know that's not always possible) I paid $750 all up (including postage which they were charging $50 at the time) so as close to that as possible. Make a reasonable offer I guess. I have a 1mx1m (I'll have double check the exact size) light tent that I can throw in too.

And just as an FYI I will be selling a lot more stuff in the new year too - 5D mkI, 50D , 24-70, 70-200 2.8 IS, 430ex plus lots of other little bits and pieces

What's happening Kinnon? Moving to Nikon?

I've got a set of V4's and they are a good, reliable trigger and receiver set.

I would suggest you buy new batteries when you get the kit though as they can become unreliable at best once the power dips.

Yong Nou have a new set out now that have features that i'm interested in such as the ability to use them as remote triggers. I'd like this feature to be able to do rig shots for bikes.

Here's the other shots from "Al's gallery of awesomeness" (external link)

Sorry Bruce but I think they are CT 301's that Tony was using. The strobe was from Dragon Image.....work is fooked. 3 people here down from 9. It's a bit ****e as you know so well. ;)

That is pretty awesome Al - but the girl needs to learn which way to sit when riding a bike!

Saw them on your Flickr, Richard. Nice shots. I know a few people who went and I wouldn't have gone myself but to shoot would have been fun for a few minutes :p

The whole concert was awesome, first one I'd been to for years!!

They really got the crowd into it.. heading into crowd few times, and draggin kids up on stage to sing with em, and fire water pistols at crowd..

My 10yr old son loved it hes a mad Greenday fan.

The train home to Franga station really sucked though... Gettin up for work wasnt happening though :o

would love to go tonight if I could afford it

They certainly put on a show. So much energy!

Would have been nice to be able to shoot more than two songs though.

Long story short (ha!), the gear I purchased recently (50D, 70-200, studio lights and few bits and pieces) I put on a credit card because I am/was getting heaps of work and needed the gear before I had a chance to save up for it all.

I also work full time where I leave at 8.30am and get home a touch before 9 each night which doesn't leave me much time to edit photos etc (or really, to have a life). I've dropped back on the shoots now, but when I was doing 1 or 2 a week I just got a massive backlog of photos and was spending every waking moment editing photos, it was taking the fun out of photography for me.

I'm not in a position to become part time, nor do I want to, so unfortunately it's the photography that has to go at the moment. I hate credit cards and I hate debt so because I will no longer be making money from photography the gear has to go to pay off the card.

In regards to the gear I owned before (5D, 24-70, flash etc) it's kind of a case of all or nothing with me. And at the moment it will be nothing, I'll probably just get a cheap point and shoot and that will do if/when my current work situation changes.

It's breaking my heart, but hey, it's gotta be done at the moment.

@Kinnon,sorry to read that, couldn't you keep at least one body, couple of lenses and flash. At least that way you can still do stuff for yourself with maybe the odd paying job now and then.
