Favourite lens ever, but Al seems to have STOLEN it.

I'd like to try it on the 1DII when I get that body.

It's a bit long for the 1.6x crop. I think the 50mm 1.2 or 1.4 would do best for what I need. The 30mm is farken wonderful though and fark me if it hasn't made me think about getting a second crop body to go with a APS-H or FF. Tokina 11-16...gorgeous DARLING!!!

Never used a 30mm, but my 28mm's on my 400D were great! Always usable.

Weekend tax.

First carnival of the season. This is the moment my young bloke (in red t-shirt) dipped out of the flags.

Edit: hmm..screen calibration time..looks fine on the Macbook, too dark on the Apple Cinema display attached to the Mini.

Edit II: No, the injury on his left arm was not caused by the flying-fox/skateboard combination posted a few days back...bike track this time :S

Looks like the 1D2 was worth it :p Love the faces. Nice shot, maybe a tad underexposed though? Could run a grad in LR (if you use it) to bring up the faces without bringing up the sand at the top.

QUOTED IMAGE

all i can tell is you need a fill light from the left to remove the shadows from her face and light up her right arm slightly

I picked up my hard drive yesterday afternoon and put it back in this morning - it looks like they have recovered most of the data lost to an external drive so I feel a lot better than I did a week ago.

It's going to take me a long time to copy stuff back to the computer!

I'll be much more diligent with my backups from now on - even though it was backing up that caused the problem!

I'll also be starting work on my VCAT claim against CPL for a refund of the faulty disk drive and attempting to recover some of the cost of data recovery.

Avatar fairy?

lol, nah, I resurrected one from a little while ago that I used to have to save the confusion.

Hmmm wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the title fairy to come and bless you. Rumour has it that the title fairy is being held hostage by someone with Horton in their user name.
Although you could be given a title of Little Lady Blue,if you did hold your breath.

Hostage? Bugger. Wonder what the ransom is?

Might start holding my breath then.....as long there is some kind of female indicator in the name might be worth it!
