There's an update on Rob Galbraith's site saying the Einstein 640s will be shipping in the first half of January and available in Australia 2 weeks later.

The article is here (external link).

Today he also has an interesting write up on the various PLM umbrellas, including their use with speedlights.

BOYS! Looks like I'm covering the launch of the new Rocket 3 Roadster in Feburary.

I'll draw up a quote this weekend as I've been approved to cover the costs associated with time and equipment as long as I have that quote sorted.

:)

I like the clean interface.

That looks good Nic. I've been thinking of possibly switching from Smugmug to something like Photomerchant. Is it possible to use your own domain name?

My main reason for switching would be for easier sales..

Yeah you can use your own domain, i will be swapping to my domain once i get the site up and running.

The sales, from what i have seen so far seem easy. I havnt made any sales but i have played around with it and the cart is simple and easy to use, and all the prices can be set individually.

So far so good really.

Logistics around the holidays isn't going to happen for a lot of things.

Welcome to the world and charge to rent.

Ripper Al, rail it up and give them something special through a stunning strobed corner, or are you just doing the photojournalist side of the launch?

135 on the 1.6 crop might be fine for littlies but for big people to get the full body in @FF 216mm I would be to far away to shout directions at the subject!!

haha am sure a few elocution lessons could fix that. At that length you get some fantastic some fantastic compression of facial features for tight headshots with the 135 - but yes you room on a cropper. Was my choice instead of a 70-200... just need a 1.4x TC now

Cause the earn doesn't justify a 1dMk4, unless I.... no don't be the latest must have gear head guy with Sheit photos...

Coupla reasons, the 5DII isn't great for sport or birding, the 7d has better focus system and if I go video its better too... thats the reason the Leica S2 wont be on my list either:p The 1dMkiii would be great but alas no vid.

have you played with the vid Mondo on your 7d?
