Adelaide's been terrible lately. Feel sorry for you about the weather, but it's your fault for living there anyway.. :) Kidding. What shoot did you cancel?

This thread is really dead today!

Here's a shot I took of my nephew in our pool this afternoon. I'm not sure if it's my laptop or Flickr but the original export from LR on my desktop looks much sharper than it does to me at the moment:

IMAGE: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4015/4258862530_868fb1b95a_o.jpg

Had a terrible time with WB because of the pool walls being blue and reflecting up while the sun was coming down. Some photos I concentrated on more with WB than others but anyway, there it is.

Went to the beach after work. Such a good idea! I was gonna hit the pub tonight, but it's just too damn hot and no one could be bothered.

Good choice! I went for a dip in our pool about 2-3 hours ago and I'm glad I did too :)

43 in Adelaide tomorrow but I bet Nic and all the others will be glad for Monday to come. 25 or something around there! Unlike us, Monday is 41.

Don't have a pool anymore, and even though mum's is pretty close, I'd much rather hit the beach. Nothing like a view.

It can be as hot as it wants from here on in til Friday, I've only got to work on Tuesday and I'm gonna try make that a half day too. Woo!

 If you still had your mo then the view might be even better! I don't mind pool or beach but the beach is generally better for a proper day. The pool gets boring quickly and it's just not the same because you can sit inside and cool down, you're not out there all the time in the heat.

Get excited :D

Been watching the great unwashed jumping in the ocean pool here most of the arvo, now soem have taken over our fav swimming rock key hole, open to the ocean, after they realised that's where the locals go when they dont want to swim in urine and sweat etc!

Rotisseried a Chook on the BBQ, went for the lime juice and zest, cracked pepper, sea salt with a tray of hassle back potatoes all served with fresh green salad.. it was yum. The great unwashed marching thru the park next door to get to the pool and beach were all looking up and smelling the chook.

One local dude came right up demanding his share... he he is relaxing after his meal and a quick pic of the meal on the spit

Why would you pierce a baby's ear, especially a bloke baby? Next thing the parents would want to give him botox for the frown lines, probably caused by the ear piercing! :p

Yes the reflections from the surface are a bugger in full sun Glen, but you caught the water droplets well making him look like he wants to be as fast Ian Thorpe

and just to show you smoking is no good for you. which brings up a good point, who is a smoker here?

Not really sure why my sister did it but I can tell you now, we all had the same reaction as you did ;)

Yeah they were but the photos were nothing special, just wanted some shots better than average P&S ones :)

Too crook to leave the house, so might have to get the lighttent out and shoot the S90 or something, otherwise I won't have a pic.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Good enough to pass the time, too.

Me and my dad fixed the umbrella that broke the other day. How long it lasts is another question so when I order my second light stand and umbrella from IM, I'll probably get a third umbrella just in case it breaks again when I'm shooting :)

Buy sandbags as well. Prevention.
