I was out in the woods today near a man made water catch system and Squirrels were everywhere. They are very curious, yet skittish if you move. Cute little buggers! The one with the ear hair is an older squirrel.

These squirrels are cool! I know I've seen them somewhere before. Perhaps in Colorado? I'm not sure how large their range is, but I wish we had them up here in WA.
Very nice images, Steve! I especially like #1 of the mature squirrel with the "ear hair".

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks Tom, I was wondering if these are really bad or that people in the wildlife section don't like squirrels. I was out today again and more shots of squirrels, and birds too! Really curious guys, they will come down the tree within 4 feet of me as long as I sit still. Fun to watch them!:D

I like 'em Steve, especially the hairy eared one, reminds me of a friend of mine that could use some pruning. :)

Cool shots Steve... beautiful detail... I enjoy our red squirrels each day in the woods, I have a bunch that follow me and eat sunflower seeds... they are the only "brand" we have here on the ridge.

Thanks db, these guys are always around the water hole. Lots of large pines for them to hang on to. One came down today and hung at head level about 4 feet from my face. He looked me over for about 10 minutes, they are skittish in the woods and will not eat people food. ( Seeds, peanuts, etc. )
You should post some of your red squirrels, I'd like to see them!:D

Great shots. If you don't mind me asking, what was your setup?

Good shots, Steve. I've seen them at GC, but never with the camera in hand.

Thanks Stan, they are so curious and a lot of fun to observe. Such cute faces, and they bark like a small dog...makes me laugh.:D
