Has anyone used this? How does is compare to their big softbox. It looks like a nice solution, but the lumiquest site only shows one results photo and its not entirely convincing.

It's suitable for indoors, whereas a soft box will be more efficient outdoors. The light quality is fairly good, the problem is the way it attaches. It perches pretty precariously on top of a flashgun in bounce position and the weight/leverage can pretty easily force the flashhead back down to the straight forward position if you're not careful.

Sep 18, 2009 20:20 | #5 Thanks, the design seems appealing, but I wondered how it was to actually handle. I plan to use a camera rotating bracket so I may just stick with the smaller lumiquest or bite the bullet and get one of the mid-sized hotshoe capable softboxes.
