It is definitely a smoking lens if the focal length works for you. On a 20D, it's a 320mm 1.8.
Also about two pounds lighter than a 300mm. I love to use mine. It also looks impressive.

I'm just obsessive and nuts! I just bought the 300mm 2.8 non-IS to temporarily fill a void. I'm going to western Canada in July for 16 days.

That empty void is what keeps us alive.............so sadly, it won't really be filled until you are six feet under!!!

........on that note, I feel a void coming.

HKFEVER's Ban is intended as temporary, just a few days (hopefully) and for reasons of which you are unaware.

A series of serious abuses of forum policy, abuses only related to the Vest issue in HKFevers mind, has taken place.

The temporary suspension therefore has nothing to do with the vest, but rather this continued abuse of policy.

Please understand that we did all we could to try and work with HK on this. (and are continuing to bring him back..)

Ultimately every step we have taken over the last few days has resulted from his own escalation of the issues, and fracturing of forum policies.

We hope to have him back soon.
The ball is entirely in his court.

Lastly, if anyone has further questions, I am allways available via PM.
