Just got back from a 3 day camping trip to Algonquin Park! The weather was truly perfect and with the black fly and mosquito season over, it meant no irritating bugs to eat me alive while hiking through the woods. It would have been nicer if more of the fall colors were out but oh well, I just worked with what I was given.

Shots 1,2,4 & 5 were processed as pseudo HDR's with a high/low exposure version and conversion in Photomatrix.

C&C, as always, much appreciated!

Very nice, where did you stay, Pog Lake?
I am heading back up there in October.

Nice shots!

I like the last 2 shots the most.

Thanks! Those were the most fun to shoot too because of the minimal available light!

I am heading back up there in October.

Thanks! I stayed at the Two Rivers campsite at lot 212 which is right on the river. Early October should be good for catching the last part of the color change. I think I went a week too early. :o

Thanks! It was great to get away from civilization for a few days and have a campfire to gaze into instead of a TV set or a computer screen!

Nice work Ghost. I like the last two myself.

Thank man!

I had the most fun doing the final shot of the stars above the trees. I kept experimenting with different bulb exposures until I got the right light balance between the stars and the ambient light from the campfires which turned out to be 3 minutes @f/3.2 with my 14L lens. In fact, all these shots were taken with that lens!

Cheers!
