First time on the sideline at night. My editor forgot to get my pass but I was let on anyway. These were shot with a Sigma 70-200/2.8 on a 40d at ISO 1600, f/2.8, 1/640 and then boosted in PP so noise is kinda bad.

One of the other photographers broke the rules and got too close to the field and caused an unsportsmanlike penalty on an 89 yard TD run. He then quickly ran away, leaving the coach to come start screaming at me until the ref told him I was fine. Needless to say I can understand why the coach was pissed off.

C&C please

I would say it was probably wasn't lit *that* bad since they're ISO 1600 and 1/640. Took my own Sigma 70-200 out tonight but had to use a flash after the first quarter cause even ISO 3200 wasn't good enough.. but I'll put up a couple in another thread.

EOS 7D Sigma 70-200 F2.8 (1.4 extender outdoors) are the workhorses. 50D for backup, EF 70-300MM USM f/4-5.6 IS, Freelance photographer for local newspapers and my website viewthroughmylens.net (external link)
