Who do you guys get your insurance through? We got burgled a little over a year ago and it looks like I've gone into the 'bad risk' file  Premium's gone up 25% even though we're not even at that address any more. Might be time to shop around I think. Any suggestions?

we've got ours through AA, previously with IAG (State) through HSBC bank and to be honest I'd go without insurance rather than deal with a bank again.
AA seem quite good, has someone write off the back end of her car a couple of years back and no problem getting the stated value - they even added the bit extra they got from the "at-fault" drivers insurance (who for some reason paid more than the stated value)
Anyway's I also have my camera gear listed as part of the home contents although I had to get Progear or Ak Camera do a valuation it's quite worth the $25...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Thanks Joseph. Progear are great aren't they. I wish they offered insurance!

Go to an insurance broker. They'll shop around and get you the best deal, and it won't cost you anything. I use ACM and have been very happy with their service.
