Help please

Hi all,

I have been trying to find a lens. I have seen other photographers with it. They are using it on a 450d body (Which is what I have and why I ask what it is). I have seen them with it at football events. The lens itself has what looks like a reversed. lens hood on it.

Thats pretty much all I can say about it.

I am not sure why I have never asked them what it is when I have seen them with it.

Anyway, any ideas what it could be?

Could be many things. Try the Canon museum or the MIR site and look at pix of lenses. Easier yet, ask them next time what it is.

I'm looking for a camera. Its black and I've usually seen it hanging around someones neck. Sorry that's all I have.

If I remember correctly it looked a lot like this but like I said it had a reversed petal lens hood on it.

I guess it may of even been that, I wouldn't know.

I guess the question is vague. It could be anything I guess.

I'm constantly surprised at how many people I see shooting with a reversed hood continuously as if they think they've come up with a really smart way to use the hood without adding extra length to the lens.

Reversed petal hood suggests something wide angle. Strange to be seen at football game. If was white could be 28-300 L or a 35-350 L but as you have given something black they wont fit. Maybe 24-70 L or a 24 - 105 L.
