Excellent series! I really like the elephant shot and the last one. Great job and I'm sure this was an even more amazing experience! :)

Wow, excellent serie.. I've also notice the Nikon D700 and D90. Amazing pictures and I don't care if they are from a Canon, Nikon or Pentax body !!

Cheers folks, I appreciate the comments. These shots were indeed taken with Nikon bodies. For normal prints or web use (let's face it, most of us only go that far) the differences across different shooting options here are much more dependant on light that gear. D700 and 300mm VR 2.8 combo costs around £5400, while the D90 and Sigma 150-500mm OS costs around £1300. It's not worth while most of us spending too much IMO - better spend your cash on travel and adventures ;-)a

Ahhh, I miss the Bushveld. Cannot wait to go again. I have not gone this year (my wife wanted to go to the sea - why oh why did I listen to her). I think I am having withdrawl symptoms.

Wow what a shot of the Waterbuck (last photo). Most people find them quite boring, but I do love them AND they make very nice photos. The same actually goes for the humble Impala (1 and 5). Their colours suits photograhy very well. You were very lucky to cath a little Steenbok like that - they are normally very skittish.
